Who is it for?
Designed for children aged
7-13 years
Available through both open sessions and private group bookings.
How is it assessed?
Awareness Only
This session has no formal assessment as it is designed as child-focused learning experiences, encouraging independence, confidence and positive peer interaction
Children will explore topics such as:
☆ Emergency Response:
Staying safe and assessing danger. Calling 999 confidently and communication. Understanding first aid kits and emergency planning
☆ First Aid Skills:
Cuts, grazes and bleeding. Burns and scalds. Choking awareness and response. Recovery position. CPR awareness and practice. Head injuries, falls, sprains and strains. Asthma, allergies and common medical conditions
☆ Safety & Prevention:
Water safety and drowning prevention. Road, cycle and personal safety. Fire safety and escape planning. Understanding risks and making safe choices
☆ Wellbeing & Community Skills:
Emotional wellbeing and recognising when someone needs support. Confidence, teamwork and problem-solving. Helping others while keeping themselves safe
Flexible Programme Options
Option 1: First Aid Discovery Day
A 5-hour practical workshop providing an engaging introduction to a wide range of first aid and safety skills.
Option 2: First Aid Skills Week
Five themed 2-hour sessions allowing children to explore first aid and safety topics in greater depth.
Option 1: First Aid STARs Pathway
A 10-week rolling programme where children progressively build confidence, practical skills & independence through regular 2hr sessions.
Certification
Attendance only
Children will get a certificate of full attendance to their awareness building workshop or programme
Good to know
- Open bookings are delivered with partners in host venues. Venue information and session expectations will be shared upon booking.
